EVERY 20 SECONDS, A CHILD DIES FROM WATER BORNE DISEASES
Moved by this plight, Just a Drop was launched in 1998 as an international water aid charity. Fiona Jeffery OBE, the charity’s founder, learnt that just £1 can deliver clean water to a child for up to 10 years. Just a Drop was born, based on the premise that if people can be encouraged to give a little then collectively we can make a huge difference.
Just a Drop’s mission is to reduce child mortality by delivering accessible, clean, safe water where it is needed most.
Their projects support communities through the construction of wells, boreholes, pipelines, hand pumps and latrines and establish health and sanitation programmes for some of the poorest and remotest communities in the world. To date, their projects have reached an estimated 1.5 million people in 29 countries, from Afghanistan to Zambia.
With the passionate support of their volunteers and donors, coupled with a grass roots approach, Just a Drop are committed to making a real difference to people’s lives through one focus – delivering safe water and sanitation to communities in need.
Braveagle has adopted Just a Drop as its chosen charity and will support the charity by fully engaging in activities and by donating 25 Euros for each training course operated by Braveagle.
